While hunters are busy diving through the Sunken City, it is no surprise that the devs are working furiously on the next content to the game. During the July 4, 2014 Feedback Friday session, Dave mentioned that the next area would be a Rift area expansion.
With the Sunken City released, we’re working on the next Year of the Noble release: A new Rift expansion. We’ve only just started working on art and development, so don’t fret if you’re worried about having time to explore all that the Sunken City has to offer!
There are no details if it’s going to be an extension of the current rift area or a new rift area all together, so we’ll have to wait and see. As he stated, this area is in early development, and will probably not be released anytime soon. My guess is late September – something to do for a month or so before the Haunted Territories return.
Secondly, the devs are also working on updating the Marketplace, something that hunters have been wanting for a long time. Dave explains some of the new features and functions and what hunters can expect.
Another project we’ve been working on that’s nearly complete is an overhaul of the marketplace. A refreshed interface will make it easier to find what you’re looking for and spot interesting items. We’re adding the ability to sell more than one item at once as well as a new feature allowing hunters to put up buy offers. With the new system you’ll be able to create a buy offer that potential sellers can then browse and fulfil.
Finally, Dave also mentioned that the entire interface will receive a facelift in the future. The UI hasn’t changed much since MH 3.0 was released, only minor tweaks here and there. It will be interesting to see what the devs have in store here.
Finally, although still a long way off, we’re working on giving the general game interface a fresh coat of paint. The updated look aims to simplify things for newer hunters while helping more experienced hunters find what they’re looking for quicker.
