Ronza has arrived in Gnawnia, bringing with her lots of items for all the good little boys and girls across the kingdom!
Who exactly is Ronza? Well, she is a traveling merchant who visits Gnawnia once a year usually to bring us some pretty awesome traps and supplies, and this year is no exception. I will break down each of the new items (not going to go over the items that she’s brought previously) and let you know if you should get it. 🙂
The Law Draw: 600,000 gold (Law Power)
1,100 Power, 5% Power Bonus, 20% Attraction Bonus, 5 Luck, Extremely Fresh
Let’s compare this trap to the other Law traps in the game. You may notice that this trap has 5 luck, which is 5 more than any other Law trap. Honestly, in my opinion, this is a MUST BUY for everyone, as it means every law trap in the game is not as good as this one, with the lone exception of the specific train traps on their section of the train. So in other words, want to build up your catches in Claw Shot City? You better buy this trap. Working to buy your train traps (because it takes a lot of trains)? You better buy this trap.
Veiled Vine Trap: 1,150,000 gold (Tactical Power)
3,500 Power, 12% Power Bonus, 0% Attraction Bonus, 20 Luck, Very Stale
This trap immediately becomes the third best tactical trap in the entire game, with only the Sphinx Wrath and Rewers Riposte better (Yes, better than Dimensional Chest in MOST situations; it is for Furoma so that’s really all that matters honestly). 1.15 million gold? Ultimately up to you, but Zug’s First Move will cost you about that (if not more if I recall), and this trap is definitely better than that one with 3 more luck and a better power bonus. Buy it.
Dragon Lance Trap: 8,900,000 gold (Draconic Power)
4,950 Power, 30% Power Bonus, 5% Attraction Bonus, 12 Luck, Extremely Stale
My first thought is, what the heck? 8.9 million for this trap is very, very expensive. So expensive in fact that, I’m not sure I’m going to buy it. However, it IS the best Draconic trap in the game. That being said, how much are you really going to use it? It’s going to make your CR on the Dragon go from 16% to 18%. Not sure if that’s worth it. But, it’s ultimately up to you.
Chrome Oasis Water Node Trap: 11,250,000 gold (Hydro Power)
? Power, ?% Power Bonus, ?% Attraction Bonus, ? Luck, ?
Look, if you spend 11.25 million gold to upgrade your OAT (and not your POT below), and you’re NOT a collector, then you are an idiot. Sorry for being harsh, but this might be the dumbest thing you can spend money on, right next to buying an Oasis Bead for the Gattling Canon.
Chrome Phantasmic Oasis Trap: 11,250,000 gold (Hydro Power)
6,200 Power, 20% Power Bonus, 15% Attraction Bonus, 28 Luck, Very Fresh
If you can afford the upgrade kit, by all means upgrade your trap. Already the best Hydro trap in the game and, (in MOST circumstances) the best pound-for-pound trap in the game, the upgraded POT is a tremendous trap. With the new area more than likely going to be a hydro area (it’s underwater, c’mon!), I say you need this if you can afford it.
Physical Brace Base: 1,600,000 gold
300 Power, 0% Power Bonus, 5% Attraction Bonus, 8 Luck, No cheese effect
Decent-to-great stats that, by itself, already put it in my “Super” category. The special effect is noteworthy however. When used with a physical trap, this base will give you a mouse-crippling power bonus of 25%! Huzzah!! By all means, buy it.
Super Cactus Charm: 900 gold
500 Power, 3% Power Bonus, 5% Attraction Bonus, 3 Luck, Stale cheese effect
What the heck? Is this a charm or a trap? Honestly, it’s like a poor-man’s ancient charm, but that doesn’t mean its bad. Quite the contrary, I’d buy as many of these as I could. It’s a very, very helpful charm. It says there is a bonus in Claw Shot City and with the Claw Shot Base – I am still trying to figure out what it is. The stats above are the stats of the charm regardless of what you’re hunting with or where.
Unstable Charm: 4,600 gold
No relevant stats
This is an interesting charm: use it, and it will disappear and transform into another random charm. Could be very, very interesting to see the results.
EMP400 Charm: 64,000 gold (Max of 12)
Stale Cheese Effect
Using this charm with Fusion Fondue against the M400 mouse gives you a big power bonus. Not sure yet of how much. Buy it? Probably.
